Disneyland and Disney World Annual Pass Prices Going Up

“In addition to our continued investment in the guest experience and the expansion of our parks”, Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown said, “our new selection of annual passes will help us manage strong demand and continue to deliver a world-class experience, while providing more choices for guests to select the pass that best meets their needs”.

Blackout days are typically the two weeks around Christmas and New Year’s Day, usually the busiest time of year the Register said, when crowds sometimes force Disneyland to close the gates.

According to the Wall Street Journal, new Parks Chairman Bob Chapek has been trying to find a way to spread out attendance at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World in an effort to prevent over-crowding and capacity closures.

It costs $729, that’s up from $649 for the comparable Florida Resident Premium Annual Pass. They also can download unlimited keepsake photos taken by park employees through the PhotoPass program.

Perhaps the biggest change was the elimination of the theme park’s no-blockout Premium Passport, the only option that gave holders the option to visit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure every day of the year.
